Privacy Policy

ACQRD is a marketplace for buying, selling and trading collectibles. It's operated by Callum Beach, trading as Acquired Collectables (ABN 16 852 923 612) ("ACQRD", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your choices. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
What we collect, and why

We hide phone numbers, emails, bank details and social links in chats until a deal is agreed, and always hide them in public profiles and listings. This helps keep you safe and your deals protected.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
- Supabase: stores our database, photos and sign-in details, on servers in Singapore.
- Stripe: processes membership payments.
- Card databases (Pokémon TCG API, Scryfall, YGOPRODeck): when you search for a card, the card name is sent so we can show matching cards and prices. No personal information is sent.
- Anthropic (the company behind the Claude AI): when you use ACQRD Lens, the scanned photo (already cleaned of location and camera details) or the product details for a barcode are sent so it can work out what the item is. Your name and account details aren't sent.
- UPCitemdb: when you scan a barcode, only the barcode number is sent, to look up the product.
- Frankfurter: daily currency exchange rates. No personal information is sent.
- Police or regulators, if the law requires it.
- A company or new owner of ACQRD: if ACQRD moves to a company or is sold, your information moves with it and stays protected by this policy. We'll tell you first.
Your information is stored and processed outside Australia: our database and photos are kept by Supabase in Singapore, and Stripe and Anthropic may process information in the United States. We only use providers that protect your information, and only for the jobs listed above.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account any time in the app (Settings > Delete my account) or by emailing us. See Delete your account for exactly what's removed and what's kept without your name.
Your choices and rights
- Change your profile any time in the app.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it, by emailing support@acqrd.com.au.
- If you're unhappy with how we handled your information, tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
